CERTAINLY CELERY
Hope you like it!

HAITIAN DISASTER RELIEF - make a difference!

On January 12, 2010 a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti, leaving in its wake devastation so overwhelming that the Haitian people and their leaders can only look for help from the outside to cope. In the past, when terrorists attacked the Twin Towers, when a tsunami struck Indonesia, when a hurricane destroyed New Orleans, and when wildfires ravaged Australia, Stampin' Up! demonstrators stepped forward and showed their commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. This time is no different.

From now until 28 February, 2010, you can partner with Stampin' Up! to make a difference in the lives of those who continue to suffer from the effects of this devastating earthquake.

Stampin' Up! will set aside £1 from the sale of every Greenhouse Gardens stamp set and donate that money to the Red Cross’ International Response Fund. The Red Cross is already well-established in Haiti, and this money will be used to provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need.

Act today, and start making a difference. Get in touch with me to order your Greenhouse Gardens stamp set!

Belle Toile Get Well Soon

Here is a Get Well Soon card for my very good friend Chris (B) who is ill at the moment with Woman flu - yes it's the real thing!
I have "cased" one of Monica's cards here and have used the Belle Toile stamp -isn't it fabulous. I have used Whisper White and Black cardstock. Flowers made using the five petal punch.
So Chris - you had better get well soon - we can't have you missing any more card classes. Miss you lots!

Mistake card

This is the first card that I made the mistake with the cutting of, when I was crafting with Chris on Wednesday.
Not to be defeated I have had a go at salvaging something from it and I must confess it looks OK - just not how it should have been.
What do you think?
This uses Almost Amethyst and So Saffron Cardstock with Teaparty designer paper and So Saffron striped grosgrain ribbon.

Today I have been to Country Baskets at Leeds to buy little pink chiffon drawstring bags to put my little gifts for the Ladies at my Lady Captain's Drive In (in March). Quite exciting!! Can't wait for the gifts to arrive - but I'm not telling you what they are - you have to wait and see.

Bella Bleu

Well folks I am back from my jollies with a vengeance. I have high hopes of posting a card on here most days (notice that I didn't say every day!)
So here is my latest offering.

I went to Christine's today (sis-in-law) and we made this card using Kraft and Bordering Blue cardstock and the beautiful Bella Bleu designer paper. The stampsets used were Happy Everything and Itty Bitty Buds (Hostess Level 2). The scallop edge punch was used to make the corner pieces- I am quite pleased with these! The flower was made using the 5 petal flower punch with both the Bella Bleu paper and Bordering Blue cardstock with a button centre.
I have to confess that this was my second attempt as I cut the first one wrongly, but when I get a chance I will finish it off anyhow and post it - then you'll see where I went wrong. Meantime, enjoy!

Julie's Jems Challenge

Here is the card that I have made for our Jems Colour Challenge.
The colours we were given were: Regal Rose, Close to Cocoa, Sage Shadow and Very Vanilla.
The Stamp sets are Flight of the Butterfly and Pocket Sillouettes and of course, I have used the Butterfly punch.

Clip Crop Crafts samples

Here are some samples that I've put together for CCC - different again from SU, but I am quite pleased with them.
Has a crisis this afternoon - went to get some card from my shelves, only to find that the card on the bottom shelf was wet - yes WET. Moved the shelves, and the bookcase that stood on top - a feat in itself cos there was a great amount of stash here. Took me over an hour just to shift the stash. After moving the shelf and book-case discovered water streaming down the wall. Panic Stations , wasn't quite sure what was causing it. When Barry came home he discovered that the downpipe from the flat roof of the craftroom had frozen solid and water was running off and under the roof, and as the pipe was blocked, it had found its way through a gap in the mortar and was seeping into the room. We boiled lots of water and Barry defrosted the downpipe, allowing the water from the roof to drain away safely. Then I spent hours doing mopping up operations. Consequently I have not been able to make any more SU sale-a-bration samples, thats why I posted the CCC samples instead.
Don't know what will happen tomorrow, the craft room is in a state with stash everywhere and if the weather is kind, my Tuesday class will be here at 11.30. Better get off to bed now and then get up early to sort out room tomorrow!

Julie's Whimsical Words

What about this for a beautiful card then.
It belongs to my Stampin Up momma Julie and I think its fab - so much so that I have "cased" it (copy and share everything). Also as her photography is so much better than mine, I am just posting a copy of this from her blog - what cheek!!
Thanks Julie - feel free to case any of mine (if they are good enough)
Cheers
Kate

Whimsical Words with Happy Moments

Heres a combination of two of the sets. I am afraid that my photography skills do not do this card justice. The pretty in pink stamping is so subtle its difficult to photograph, so I tried to do a close up of the wording - not very successful, but you should get the gist of it. In case you can't read the words it says "The more candles the bigger the wish"

Happy Moments - for Chris

This little bird in a cage comes from the "Happy Moments" Sale-a-bration set of stamps. Remember, once this promotion finishes on the 28th February, they won't be available ever again! Get yours now - you know how to do it!

More Sale-a-bration samples

Once again, still in monochromatic mood, the "Good Neighbours" set used with a "Vintage Label"

Well you can see that I am still in my monochrome mood here, using only black and white with a little silver embossing to show off the "Vintage Label"

Vintage Labels

And here's a sample using the "Vintage Labels" Sale-a-bration set!
The words are from "Happy Moments" and the flowers punched and stamped with "A Beautiful Thing". Quite like the monochrome look!
